And not just to avoid supporting the authors who are "controlled opposition", but also because Substack's business model is not transparent. From what I understand, some 'Stack authors are subsidized by the company, while most are on their own. So it's a sort of pyramid scheme.
Agree 100%. Good for you. Truth is as marginalized here by Big Tech as it is anywhere. The Usual Suspects remain the usual suspects. Some may really need to charge to be able to write but....

Having said that (last January) I did the opposite! I decided to double down on supporting my favorite stacks. I did cancel Malone on suspicion.
